BP shows SOCAR technology used in environmental field

BP-Azerbaijan, which is the operator of the large-scale oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan, has demonstrated the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) the technology used on the site of management of sludge formed in the process of the project implementation by BP, SOCAR reported.

The demonstration of the technologies was conducted during SOCAR Vice-President of Environmental Affairs Rafig Huseynzade’s visit to the site.

During the visit, Huseynzade was informed about the work being done in the field of industrial waste sorting, transportation, storage of containers for storage of cuttings, installation of thermal desorption and the site of bioremediation. It was noted that all work in these areas are carried out in accordance with the environmental requirements.

Huseynzade voiced the need to study international best practices and its possible widest use on the site in the area of waste management, recycling, reuse.
