About $300 million will be spent on the project construct the Georgian section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway in 2011, Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Minister Ramaz Nikolaishvili said.
He said the construction will involve 3,000 people.
"It is an ambitious, but a realistic program, which is of particular importance for Georgia," he said adding that this road will connect the Caucasus and Europe.
