SOCAR commissions new gas condensate wells on Caspian Sea

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has put into operation two gas condensate wells at the Guneshli offshore field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR reported today. The drilling of the new wells was carried out upon the order of the 28 May Oil and Gas Production Union.

The design depth of one well is 3,550 meters. A total of 120,000 cubic meters of gas and 15 tons of condensate per day are produced at a depth of 3,525 meters. The daily debit of the second well is 170,000 cubic meters of gas and 26 tons of condensate.

The drilling of the two wells was initiated in March. The Bayil Limani Offshore Exploration Drilling Unit of the Complex Drilling Work Trust successfully completed the drilling work.
