Azerbaijan determines priorities for concessional financing of investment projects

Today, the gardening and planting of seedlings are the actual scope for funding by the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES) operating under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry, Minister Shahin Mustafayev told the AzTV state television channel on Tuesday.

"The projects funded through the NFES had considerable importance to the economy and part of the industries created under these projects has already been commissioned. These include refrigerator storage facilities and grain warehouses," Mustafayev said.

According to the minister, all these projects are the backbone, as the created refrigerator storage facilities give impetus to the development of production.

"We believe there were built enough refrigerator storage facilities across the country. Of course, we continue to receive appeals from entrepreneurs and we provide them with financing, but today, the actual area for us is the gardening and planting of seedlings," he said.

Mustafayev said the building of refrigerator storage facilities gave impetus to the increased interest in this area, that is, there are now conditions for storage of agricultural products and farmers have opportunities to expand their production.

NFES funded 1,016 projects worth $ 81.037 million manat over three quarters of 2010. The implementation of these projects through the NFES will help to create 3,799 new jobs.
