
President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has met President of Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGaz National Company Kairgeldy Kabyldin, who is in Baku to attend the 17th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference Incorporating Refining and Petrochemicals.
Abdullayev praised friendship and rapidly developing cooperative relations between SOCAR and KazMunaiGaz.
The SOCAR President said “we are on track to execute an agreement on basic principles of realization of the Trans-Caspian project signed between the two companies in Baku in November 2008”.
Abdullayev expressed confidence “cooperative relations between the two companies will further serve the prosperity of our peoples.”
Kabyldin hailed social and economic development in Azerbaijan.
He said “what we have achieved in oil sector contributes to ensuring the country's all-round development”.
The President of KazMunaiGaz informed about positive trends in Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector, accomplishments achieved and big projects in the country. He said Kazakh oilmen always benefit from Azerbaijani counterparts' offshore field development experience.
