SOCAR drills two new wells at Guneshli field

SOCAR's trust of integrated drilling operations has launched drilling of two wells in offshore oil and gas field "Guneshli", developed by the company independently, SOCAR said.

These operations are conducted within the program to increase oil and gas production on their own fields. Both wells are drilled in "Gala". The projected depth hits 3,800 and 3,850 meters.

According to geologists, after putting the wells into operation, the daily output of each will hit 35 tons of oil and 350,000 cubic meters of gas.

Guneshli field occupies a significant place in SOCAR, as major amount of oil and gas falls to it.
