Minsk Oblast ups meat, dairy exports to Azerbaijan nine fold

The Minsk Oblast exports of meat and dairy products to Azerbaijan ninefold in Jan.-Jul. compared to the same period of 2008, Minsk Oblast Economic Committee Chief Zhanna Biric told reporters.

Exports of medicaments doubled to settle at $1.7 million. Azerbaijani partners started buying more dining room and kitchen equipment which represents a rise of 4.5 percent. New export item also appeared - canned vegetables.

Exports in Jan.-Jul. amounted $9.1 million and imports - $0.2million. Azerbaijan imported vegetables, fruits and nuts to the Minsk Oblast. Trade surplus totaled $8.9 million

Azerbaijan mainly imported sugar and chemically pure sucrose, tableware, pharmaceuticals, electrical plugs for internal combustion engines.

Belarus in turn imported parts for equipment for lifting and moving and fruit.
