Nearly 60 hotels shut down in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev said.

he said if they do not put in order their documents, these hotels will not be permitted to operate by the end of the summer season.

Garayev stated that more than 250 hotels in Azerbaijan had obtained licenses from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry was considering about 60 appeals at the present.

“The number of hotels obtained stars is 70 in Azerbaijan. 2 hotels operating in Nabran addressed the Ministry for stars”, said the Minister.

Garayev said flow of tourists to Azerbaijan is expected to increase this year.
