Non-oil GDP grows 2.8% in Azerbaijan

As is reported, as of February 1 of 2009, the volume of the non-oil GDP of Azerbaijan made AZN 891.5 mln ($1105.119 mln under the exchange rate of AZN 0.8097 per dollar), which is 2.8% higher as compared to similar indicator of the last year (AZN 732.4 mln). At the same time the overall volume of country's GDP made AZN 1869 in January of 2009, which is 2,6% lower as compared to February 1 of 2008 (AZN 2286).

In January of 2009 the non-oil GDP made 47,93% of the overall GDP of Azerbaijan against 38.81% by results of 2008.

In Azerbaijan the growth rates of the oil GDP exceeds the growth rates of the overall GDP of the country for already six months since August of the last year.
