EBRD to make decision about a credit for Azerbaijan Azer-Yod LLC company in December

Day.Az reports with reference to EBRD that the overall cost of the project is $17 mln with EBRD credit making $15 mln.

"The credit will be sent for purchase and installation of a new producing line, renewal of infrastructure and purchase of additional equipment in line with the strategy of the company, envisioning growth in producing capacity", says the statement. The production of the plant mainly goes for export.

"The project will promote development of the private sector and diversification of Azerbaijan's economy. Moreover, the viewed ecological improvements will help the company attain compliance with the EU standards", says the statement.

The decision to allocate a credit can be made by the EBRD Directors Board in December.

Azer-Yod LLC, is a limited liability company and the only producer of iodine in Azerbaijan.
