CIS statistical committee: "GDP growth makes 115% in Azerbaijan"

The CIS statistical committee has published data on the main socioeconomic indicators of the CIS member-states through nine months of this year.
Day.Az reports with reference to the website of the CIS statistical committee, the gross domestic product in Azerbaijan (in permanent prices as compared to January-September of 2007) made 115%, industrial production 112%, investments into major capital 138% and retail trade turnover - 115%.

As reports the CIS statistical committee, the volume of cargo transportation by transport enterprises (without pipelines) made 91,700,000 tons through nine months of this year, while passenger transportation and passenger turnover of the transport enterprises 742,000,000 people.

Moreover, as of October 1 of this year, number of cattle made 2,527 thousand heads, pigs 12,600, sheep - 8,237 thousand heads. The country produced 226,000 tons of cattle and poultry, as well as 750,000,000 eggs.

It should be noted that by the forecast estimates of the CIS statistical committee, the growth of internal production in Azerbaijan will make 116-118%. At the same time, by the forecasts of the International monetary fund, this indicator will equal 118.6% and Asian Development Bank - 115.7%.
