International conference on child labor elimination to be held in Baku

Baku will host an international conference on elimination of child labor in agriculture, arranged by the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs and World Labor Organization on October 30-31, said sources from the Confederation.

The event will be held due to the completion of the project "Role of entrepreneurs in the elimination of child labor in agriculture", initiated by the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs in 2004 under support of the World Labor Organization.

The conference is aimed at discussing the role of entrepreneurs in elimination of child labor, exchanging views in the said sphere and so on. This event will be attended by guests from the Geneva and Moscow offices of the World Labor Organization, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, representatives of the due state bodies of Azerbaijan, as well as local and international organizations.
