Baku hosts Azerbaijani-Finnish business-forum

"Finland is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in different economic spheres, especially in energy sphere, in which it has a large experience and may assist in application of now-how", said Minister of External Trade and Development Paavo Vajrinen at the Azerbaijani-Finnish business forum in Baku.

He said that along with energy sphere, the Finnish companies are ready to establish partnership in such fields, as ICT, public health, construction, transport and so on.

"Today's volume of the commodity turnover between our countries is low but we we will try to raise this indicator by way of attracting not only Finnish companies to the Azerbaijani market, but also Azerbaijani companies to the Finnish market", said Vajrinen.

Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development Heydar babayev voiced the same position regarding improvement of the trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Finland.

It should be noted that the forum involves 25 companies from Finland and 60 from Azerbaijan.
