IAEA representatives arrive in Baku

Qaribov said that the aim of the visit is to discuss prospects of creation of a research nuclear reactor, sterilization facility in Azerbaijan, and to check the overall implementation of projects in the framework of the technical cooperation with IAEA.

"Our government has approved the idea of creating a research nuclear project in our country. It is unclear how much money will be required for construction of the said reactor", noted Qaribov.

The researcher noted that the agenda of discussions between Azerbaijan and IAEA includes issues, regarding employment of specialists in the nuclear sphere and their sending for trainings.

It should noted that the research nuclear reactor and a sterilization facility are planned to be erected in 2009-2011.
