Azerbaijan's commodity supplies to Russia rise by 60.4% in 2008

Russia sent 7,509 passenger cars and 2,559 trucks to Azerbaijan in the first half of 2008, said Russia's trade representative in Azerbaijan Yuri Shedrin at a press conference today.
He noted that the main goods of Russian export to Azerbaijan were transport means, sailing platforms, spare parts of gas engines, car spare parts, fridges, electric wares, medicines, timber, paper, cardboard and others.

"Through January-June of this year, Russia supplied to Azerbaijan 68 buses, 30 special cars, 36 tractors, 35 autocranes, 10 underground trains. Considering the high dynamics of rise in goods import from Azerbaijan, it was be supposed that its volume will be at least $400,000,000 by results of this year", said the Russian trade representative.

According to Shedrin, supplies of commodity from Azerbaijan to Russia rose by 60.4% up to $191,100,000 through six months of 2008.
