BP-Azerbaijan: "Development of the plan of repair of the Turkish section of the BTC pipeline, hit by explosion, has been launched"

Officials of Turkish Botas, operating the BTC consortium, launched the development of a plan of repair and rehabilitation of the Turkish section of the BTC pipeline, hit by explosion, said spokeswoman by BP-Azerbaijan company Tamam Bayatli.
She reminded that fire at one of the BTC sections stopped on August 11 and everyone was waiting for pipe cooling.

"Sources from Turkey reported today that the pipe has cooled and it is possible to launch the development of a plan of works", said she.

According to her, Botas company will hold all works on repair and rehabilitation of the damaged part of the pipeline at its own cost.
