Wages of transport sector employees rise 29.7% in Azerbaijan

It is noted that 83.5% of them work at state enterprises and 16.5% in private sector. Moreover, 63.8% work in land transport, 13.4$ water transport, 6.5% air transport and 16.3$ at additional and subsidiary transport.

The average monthly wage of employees has risen 29.7% to AZN 287.6 as compared to the same period of 2007. The indicator among the air transport employees made AZN 722.7, sea transport AZN 432.4, motor transport AZN 496 and railway transport AZN 160.2. The rise in wages to air transport employees made 48.2%, sea 21.1% and railway 26%.

Through the reported period the number of employees of the communication enterprises has risen by 4.5 points up to 22,672 people. The average monthly wage of employees has risen 27.3% up to AZN 377.5.

The wages of private communication sector employees has risen 4.9 points as compared to the state sector.
