Exchange deals at Baku Stock Exchange near AZN 5 bln in January-July

The total amount of exchange deals on all instruments at the Baku Stock Exchange made AZN 4,995,209 in January-July, 2008, which is 243.39% higher as compared to the same period of this year. According to a source from the Baku Stock Exchange, 97.66% deals fall on the state securities.

It should be noted that the growth in exchange activity was observed not in all segments of the organized securities market.

Decline was fixed in the sector of corporate securities. Thus, the reduction of volumes made 47.76% on the primary market and 99.97% at the secondary. The highest growth was fixed in the sector of repo-operations and on the secondary notes market.
