Ali Abbasov: "Azerbaijan's three mobile operators have been offered frequencies for third generation services"

All of the three GSM mobile operators in Azerbaijan were proposed frequencies for provision of third generation services to their customers.

The due announcement was made by Azerbaijan's Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov.

"Representatives of Azercell, Bakcell and NarMobile, are in process of negotiations and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has declared its readiness to consider their proposals on licenses", Abbasov announced.

The Minister noted that according to the companies representatives, they will apply for licenses to the Ministry in the first half of 2008 after a number of technical problems are settled.
