South Korean official said the $3.5 billion project will enable trains to go at 150km/h.
"The project lead-time will be 7 years. Railway design engineering will take two years, and construction works need 5 years. It will take 3-4 hours to travel from Baku to Boyuk Kesik station at Georgian border after the project is implemented," he noted.
Musa Panahov said South Korean experts have done a research and it is found expedient to start construction from 2010.
"The project will have two phases. At the first phase, we will lay fast train tracks from Baku to Russian border. The funding will come from the state budget, foreign bank loans and private investment companies," he added. APA-Economics
