17 May 2007 [10:48] - TODAY.AZ
Debate of the education bill has been postponed till the parliament's autumn session, the parliament told.

Though the draft law is included into the action plan of the parliament's spring session, the debate of the document was again postponed some days ago.

Chief of the parliament's standing commission for science and education Shamsaddin Hajiyev told that the draft law is ready for debate. He said it will be debated on May 24 in the commission.

Hajiyev did not rule out that the debate of the draft law will be delayed, APA reports.

"The date of the debate of the draft law will depend on the results of the debates on May 24. The draft law will possibly postponed by autumn session," he said.

Education Minister Misir Mardanov had said the bill would be debated in parliament May 18.
