Baku holds roundtable on "spending of oil revenues: competition policy or industrial policy"

April 18, with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Eurasia Foundation and the Foundation for Assistance to Entrepreneurship will launch a one-day roundtable on "Spending of Oil Revenues: Competition Policy or Industrial Policy" to promote transparency and efficient use of oil revenues.

Ragib Guliyev, professor from the Technical University of Azerbaijan, and Sabit Bagirov, chairman of the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation, will make presentations at the round table.

About 25 to 30 representatives of Parliament, various ministries, the Oil Fund, and international and local NGOs are expected to attend this event.

The event will take place at the World Bank's Information Center at the Azerbaijan State Economic University, APA reports.
