Azerbaijan's ICT Minister to visit Thailand and Vietnam

Azerbaijan's Communications and Information Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov will be visiting Thailand and Vietnam from April 9 through 14.

The ministry press service told APA-Economics that the visit will be on invitations of Thailand's information and communications minister Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom and Vietnam's Post and Telecommunications Minister Do Trung Ta.

Mr. Abbasov will tmeet with Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom to discuss establishment of ICT relations between the two countries, involvement of Thai investors in the ICT sector of Azerbaijan and other issues of mutual interest.

He will also have meetings at the Thailand National Science and Technology Agency, will negotiate with the European Commission envoy for South-East Asia, and will discuss e-government related issues with UNESCAP Executive Secretary Kim Hak-Su.

Azeri Minister will also meet with Said Irandoust, President of Asian Institute of Technology to discuss study of 50 Azeri students in this institute.

On the scope of his visit to Vietnam, Ali Abbasov will meet with Vietnam's Post and Telecommunications Minister Do Trung Ta and Education and Training Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan to discuss bilateral relations, including prospects of Azeri specialists' participation in the trainings given in Vietnam by the US, South Korean and Chinese experts.

The minister will also have meetings at Vietnam's leading ICT companies.
