TRACECA Summit to be held next year

Chairman of TRACECA Azerbaijani National secretariat Akif Mustafayev told APA-Economics the meeting covered discussion on some current problems and issues on air transport and also some projects have been coordinated during the meeting.

Mr. Mustafayev noted on the first day of the meeting (on March 31) TRACECA made presentations on development of airlines in some countries, strengthening of security, development of the cooperation, etc.

The officials of Turkey's airlines administration made presentation about their experience.

At the end of the discussion memorandum on regular meetings was signed. The meeting also adopted decision to hold the next assembly again in Turkey.

In the frame of TRACECA's strategy covering 2006-2015, draft Action Plan till 2009, amendments to procedure rules of intergovernmental commissions, draft on amendments to Main Multilateral Agreement and to its protocols (includes establishment of multimodal transport, Working Council, investment fund and some other issue) were coordinated at the meetings of Standing and National Secretariats.

The agenda of 4th conference of Intergovernmental Commission to be held in autumn, in Astana and TRACECA's 2008 Summit were discussed during the meeting.

The next meeting of Standing and National Secretariats is expected to be held in Dushanbe until the conference.
