South Korean company to present Intellectual Traffic Control System in Baku

0n April 6-7, South Korean Company SKC will deliver a presentation of its technical draft for creation of Intellectual Traffic Control System in Baku.

Azerbaijan's Transport Ministry official Sadraddin Mammadov told APA-Economics that after discussion over the technical blueprint, a contest will be announced to establish a system control center.

"The process will pass two overlapping phases. At the first stage, the new system will cover Baku and then all the surrounding areas," he noted.

France, Germany, Japan and Italy use this system and Kazakhstan, Russia and United Arab Emirates aspire to acquire this network.

The system will enable to centralize traffic in Baku by sending data through special radio and television frequencies.

People will be able to get information about traffic jams and traffic scheme through mobile phones. The system will also coordinate the relevant bodies of Azerbaijan.
