Azercell receives two more international awards

Azercell Telecom JV has always provided a high quality service to its subscribers and favored them with innovation. The company that brought a lot of new telecommunication technologies to Azerbaijan and is continuing to be innovator in this field has always been carrying charity activities out.

The mobile operator's achievements were attended by the Caspian Integration Business Club, which joins business institutions. Azercell Telecom was awarded with international Caspian Energy Integration Award-2007 prize instituted by the organization.

For determination of the award winners, the managers of some 1500 companies in 32 countries of the world were inquired. In opinion of 7500 respondents not only from Azerbaijan, but also from other different countries of the world, Azercell Telecom became winner in two distinctive from each other nominations. The company was awarded for its activity in telecommunications and philanthropy and received 'The GSM operator of the year' and 'The philanthropist of the year' awards.

Azercell Telecom was awarded with 'Caspian Energy Integration Award' in 'The GSM operator of the year' nomination last year. Thus, it's second year that Azercell has been rewarded as the best GSM operator of the year.

Caspian Energy Integration Award was instituted in 2002. The first representation ceremony of the award was held in 2005. Caspian Energy Integration Award is presented to political and public figures and businessmen of the Caspian, Black Sea and Baltic countries. Heydar Aliyev, national leader of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan and Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan were among the award winners. APA-Economics
