AIOC ups oil production 79%

Oil output in Chirag Field was 1.168m tons, three times more than the same period last year.

Production more than doubled in Azeri Field to 4.171m tons during this period, AIOC Head Office told APA-Economics.
Meanwhile, the State Oil Company (SOCAR) produced 1443,000 tons of oil during the two-month period, down 0.1% from the previous year.

Azerbaijan produced a total of 32.252m metric tons of oil during 2006, of which 23.259m tons were extracted by the AIOC and 8.967m tons by the SOCAR.
