Azerbaijan negotiates with South Korea on fast trains

31 January 2007 [13:24] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijan State Railway Company (ADDY) is negotiating with South Korean companies on use of fast trains in Azerbaijan.

As APA reports, some projects are under discussion.

If an agreement is reached, a separate and well-secured railroad between Baku and Ganja will be laid for fast trains for the first phrase.

Azerbaijan also intends to buy new trains from South Korea.

According to the project, the speed limit will be 200km/h on this route. The issue of financing will be discussed after preliminary agreement.
