Iran invited Azerbaijan's officials to gas talks

The ambassador said that the trade turnover between the two countries has increased by 30% compared with 2005. He considers that this indicator is not satisfactory and the real potential of Azerbaijan and Iran is above this.

Noting that there is no problem in Iran's supplying Azerbaijan with gas Afshar Suleymani said bilateral negotiations over the issue should continue.

"Iran has invited Azerbaijani officials to discussions over this," he said.

Worrying that Iran is kept aloof from the talks on Nagorno Karabakh conflict the diplomat accused present mediators of applying double standards.

"Iran is the closest state to the conflict. Some forget it. Iran has more potentials." he said, APA reports.
