Egg and chicken fairs organized in Baku

Some 16 poultry farms put on sale over 500,000 eggs and 16 tons of chicken.

Azerbaijan Poultry Society chairman Aydin Valiyev said that the price of 30 eggs was AZN 3.3, and the price of chicken was between AZN 2.2 and AZN 2.6 per kilo.

Minister Babayev said that the fairs should also be organized on December 30.

"I have suggested that the fairs be organized tomorrow due to holidays," he said.

He said that the prices are lower than market, but the tendency should be continuous.

"I think the prices will go down in fairs. We would urge private enterprises not to increase he prices," he said, APA reports.
