The company said it has begun geophysical survey at Gedabek to find further extensions to the ore body and said it would submit a 'discovery and commerciality' report to the Azerbaijan government by January 2007.
Anglo Asian chief executive Gordon Lewis said he was hopeful of Gedabek becoming the company's flagship project in the country.
In an drilling update, the company said the Gedabek resource had potential for 702,000 ounces of gold, 6.1 mln ounces of silver and 37,500 tonnes of copper, based 15,507 metres of drilling. AFX
