TACIS program to support regional economic development starts

Azerbaijan's Economic Development Ministry is the consortium's main partner. The program mainly has to help realize the state social and economic development program for Azerbaijan's regions in 2004-2008 and the state economic development and poverty reduction program.

The program will support institutional development, increase the life level of Azerbaijani people and improve the income generation opportunities in the regions. In particular, it will help develop the potential of the Agrarcredit non-bank lending agency that provides small and medium-range loans for agriculture.
