AzAL "expunges" Ukrainian-made AN-140-100 aircraft

Azerbaijan Airlines has removed Ukrainian-made AN-140-100 aircrafts from the flights.

AzAL officer Maharram Safarli told APA that Azerbaijan completely refused Ukrainian and Russian planes, and only West-made aircrafts will be bought.

The probe into the fatal crash of AN-140-100 plane en route from Baku to Aktau showed that technical failure in the construction caused the crash. The crash claimed 23 lives (18 passengers and 5 crewmembers).
