JBIC considering credit to Azerbaijan

The Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) is working on the project giving a credit to Azerbaijan for construction of the second 400 Megawatt gas combined-cycle at the 'Shimal' power plant, press service of Azerbaijan's major electricity company Azerenerji said.

The Bank's experts visited Baku earlier this month to familiarize themselves with the structure of the first gas combined-cycle, and evaluate the feasibility of the project.

The next visit by the JBIC experts is scheduled for the beginning of 2007. AzerTAg
