SOFAZ, OSIWA chiefs meet

The meeting focused on application of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Azerbaijan, civil society-government cooperation to implement the initiative and ensure SOFAZ transparency.

Movsumov said that Azerbaijan Government attaches a great important to EITI application. According to him, Azerbaijan has already released 4 EITI reports and non-governmental organizations cooperate with the Coalition for Increasing Transparency in the Extractive Industries, foreign and local extractive companies. Movsumov expressed the willingness to share Azerbaijan's experience with the other countries that acceded to the EITI.
