CAREC hosts seminar in Baku

Trade Policy Coordinating Committee of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAPEC) held a seminar at Hyatt Conference Center on September 28.

Representative of the Ministry of Economic Development Samir Veliyev noted that Azerbaijan has one of the world's most rapidly developing economies adding this is what provokes growing interest of International financial structures in the country.

Economist at the Asian Development Bank Sona Shrestha said eight countries including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, China, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as such international financial structures as Asian Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank are active participants in the CAREC Program.

Representative of the International Monetary Fund Sena Eken delivered a report which covered trade indicators, regional integration and export-import transactions between member-countries in the framework of the CAREC Program.
