27 September 2006 [23:14] - TODAY.AZ
As from today, Azerenergy OJSC has begun to supply electricity for 18 regions with interruptions.

Hidayat Yariyev, Energy Supply officer of Azerenergy said that Azerenergy set target to collect eclectic bills completely and supply all customers with electric meters by this year's end.

"Azerenergy takes concrete measures to achieve this target. Electric supply for customers will be cut off, if they don’t pay the bills completely."

He said that mayors of the regions were warned to improve collection of bills otherwise the electricity to these regions would be cut off, APA reports.

That is not to say electricity supply for the whole region will be cut off but the settlements which didn’t pay the bill completely will be disconnected.

Electricity of 12 000 customers were cut off by September 25. 11 000 of them are individuals.

The main aim is to achieve the collection of bills 100%. Collection of bills is in the lowest level in Sheki.

Lenkeran, Masalli, Astara and Bilasuvar didn't pay enough electric bills. Mayor and local authorities come together to take concrete steps toward improvement of the collection after warnings.
