Production of manufactured goods rises by 40.5%

AZN 8.4 bln worth of manufactured goods were produced in Azerbaijan in January-August, up by 40.5% on the same period last year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, fuel industry saw an increase of 48.3% in production, including 50.4% in oil production, 10.9% in oil refining while power industry posted a 8.2% rise, metallurgy 15.6%, chemical and petrochemical industry 13.8%, food industry 4.8%, building materials industry 3.7%, pulp and paper industry, woodworking 28.7%, glass and faience industry 65.7%.
