New gas pipeline to be laid

To increase gas production in 2007, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will lay a new high-pressure gas pipeline to exploit the wells in the Guneshli field.

According to AzerTAg, on July 5, Suleyman Vazirov pipe-lay barge will start laying 22-km high-pressure pipeline, which will run through Guneshli and Oil Rocks fields. The pipes have already been delivered to Baku. The throughput of the pipeline is 2 million cubic meters a day.
