Prosecutor's Office carries out inspections in Barmek company

Chief of investigation department Nazim Abbasov told the APA that expert opinions are being analyzed and the evidences are checked at once. At the same time, the Interior Ministry Office to Fight Organized Crimes is also conducting investigation.

The Office to Combat Corruption summoned seven Barmek officials to investigation and arrested six of them.

Abbasov also said the Prosecutor's Office addressed an international inquiry to Turkish Prosecutor-General to investigate this issue. The investigations are underway by both states at present.

Huseyin Arabul told APA that the Prosecutor's Office stopped the inspections in the company. He also noted that the Economic Development Ministry Inspection Commission for the Barmek also stopped sending inquiry to the company. The company authorities will not respond to any inquiry of the commission after 30 June.

The Prosecutor's Office has been inspecting the Barmek company since March this year.
