The lawyers for the Barmek-Azerbaijan Electricity Distribution LLC are having talks with the government on further activity of the company.

"Three issues are being discussed-stopping the company's activity under an agreement, carry on working and finally, solving the problem through court," company's president Huseyin Arabul said to APA.

Commenting on Minister for Taxes Fazil Mammadov's statement on inspecting Barmek's paying taxes, Arabul said the company has no debt to the Ministry of Taxes.

"The Ministry has confirmed this too. We cannot receive documents proving our paying of taxes. We have paid 50% of the tax for June beforehand," the Barmek president said.

As coming to Barmek quitting the Azerbaijani-Turkish Businessmen Union, Arabul said it is due to his own wish and refused to touch on the details.

Commenting on the activity of the Inspection Commission at the Economic Development Ministry, he said the commission has addressed 132 questions to the company since June 5.

"We responded to 99 of them and we are going to answer two of them. We have given 258,435-page-answer to these questions so far. The questions are increasing in number every day," he noted.

Arabul also said the Baku city Yasamal district court will hold a trial on his claim against Azerenergy Open Joint-Stock Company Etibar Pirverdiyev on 16 June. The trial on the claim against the State Committee for State Property Management (SCSPM) will be held by the end of June.

Huseyn Arabul requires an indemnity at the cost of $35 million in total for the statements causing damage to the company's image and his image too. The Barmek president has two claims against the SCSPM. They are related to the company privatizing automation plant in Bina district and the Prosecutor-General's statement on Barmek's illegally privatizing 26 hectares of land area. Arabul said the land was privatized under the decision of the SCSPM.
