Oil production to break record

Last year, the country has produced 22,2 mln tons of oil and 5,82 billion cubic meters of gas and 22,3 billion kwh electric power.

Oil production for the first time in country’s history will reach over 30 million tons in 2006, SOCAR told AzerTAg.

Daily output from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) is expected to beat 439 thousand barrel, including from the Chirag-1 prospect - averagely 138 thousands barrel per day, form Central Azeri - 226 thousands barrel and from Western Azeri - about 75 thousands barrel a day.
