International Bank to bring 5 thousand POS machines in March

As APA reports, the Bank has already begun providing its clients with microchip cards.

As to installation of POS machines in the territory of the country, Mr.Mustafayev said that negotiations were held for installation of POS machines in ticket offices of the Azerbaijan State Railway Office and contracts have already been concluded: "It will be possible to buy tickets through POS machines. In future, mobile POS machines are planned to be used in urban transport as well. Besides it, IBA placed an order for importation of additional POS machines to the country. At present we work with our clients and conclude contracts with them on provision of services on implementation of payments through plastic cards. Because great work falls to share of banks concerning filling of automatic teller machines".

The IBA official said that 5 thousand POS terminals were ordered and they will be brought to the country in March. Preparatory work is also underway for installation of POS machines in the regions. This process is implemented a bit intensively in the capital and expenditures on installation of POS machines in sales outlets directly fall upon on the Bank.

Mr.Mustafayev also noted that in these days, POS machines are planned to be set up in petrol filling stations as well. Training on using POS machines will be conducted for employees of those stations.
