"We will go on negotiations with Ashgabad on implementation of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline project. There is a contract between Turkey and Turkmenistan on gas supplies which had not been realized due to some reasons," Guler noted, saying "Turkmenistan is a very important country for Ankara".
It should be noted, that through the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, the agreement on implementation of which was signed between the leaders of Turkey and Turkmenistan in 1991 the annual supplies of 16 billion cubic meters gas to Turkey and 14 billion cubic meters to the European markets are planned, Trend reports.
The gas from Turkmenistan will cost to Turkey 130 USD per 1 cubic meter.
