Transportation Ministry gets busy reparing roads in Azerbaijan

The money for reconstruction that will be allocated by the state budget are two times more than in the previous years. About 80 billion manats were spent on the rehabilitation of roads in 2004 and 2005.

Firstly the construction works will cover the roads that need urgent repairing. However, the allocation is not enough for repairing of all roads. More than a billion manats is needed for the rehabilitation of all roads in Azerbaijan.

It must be noted that, there are 124 thousand kilometers of roads in Azerbaijan 18 thousand of which are of a local importance and six thousand are of the state importance.
