The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) plans to carry out the scheduled suspension of the Georgian Supsa terminal operation, following the suspension of the Baku-Supsa pipeline.
The suspension is supposed to take place some ten days. (Trend)
According to the AIOC spokesman, during the scheduled suspension of the terminal and the pipeline operation technical servicing of these objects will be carried out, particularly, replacement of some equipment. «The scheduled stoppage takes place for the first time this year”, AIOC pointed out.
During the scheduled pause, replacement of one of the hoses, along which the oil from the Supsa terminal is delivered to the sea loading point is planned, the sources at the regional oil transportation market told Trend.
During January-June AIOC exported totally 4,612 million tons of Azeri Light oil, which is by 1,499 million tons of crude more of the similar period of 2004. From this amount 3,487 million tons of Azeri Light oil have been exported through the Baku-Supsa pipeline in January-June.
