
Around 43 billion cubic meters of gas have been extracted in the Azerbaijani offshore gas condensate field Shah Deniz up to now, a BP report on the activity in Azerbaijan in January-June 2013 said.
According to the report, around 11 million tons of gas condensate have been extracted in the field up to now.
Reserves at the Shah Deniz field are estimated at 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas.
The contract on development of the Shah Deniz offshore field was signed on June 4, 1996. Stakeholders are: BP (operator) - 25.5 per cent, Statoil - 25.5 per cent, NICO - 10 per cent, Total - 10 per cent, Lukoil - 10 per cent, TPAO - 9 per cent and SOCAR - 10 per cent.
According to the report, around 2.3 billion barrels of oil have been extracted from the block of oil and gas fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea up to now.
The shares in the contract for development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of fields is distributed as follows: BP (operator in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli) - 35.78 percent, Chevron - 11,27 percent, Inpex - 10,96 percent, AzACG - 11,65 percent, Statoil - 8,56 percent, Exxon - 8 percent, TPAO - 6.75 percent, Itochu - 4,3 percent and ONGC - 2,72 percent.
