One more mobile carrier launches number portability service in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani mobile operator Azerfon LLC (trademark Nar Mobile) launched a Mobile Number Portability service (MNP), the company told Trend on Friday.

According to the company, at the moment several subscribers of other networks have already used the service.

The MNP service is free of charge. SIM-card replacement is required when changing to other operator's network.

The implementation of MNP will allow mobile communication subscribers to save their phone number in case of changing the operator. Transferring numbers implies full migration of subscriber number along with the operator's prefix (050, 051, 055, 070 and 077).
