18 January 2013 [20:49] - TODAY.AZ

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the terms of use of airspace of Azerbaijan, a decision published on Friday on the official website of the Cabinet says.

The regulations were approved by decision of the Cabinet on January 15, 2013 and came into force on the date of the signature.

These regulations were developed to ensure flights in Azerbaijani airspace are in accordance with the requirements of Article 7.2 of the Aviation law, the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation of December 7, 1944, and amendments to it.

These regulations define the terms of use of Azerbaijani airspace by piloted and unmanned aerial vehicles (belonging to Azerbaijan and other countries) passing over the territory of the country or operating flights from airports and airdromes of Azerbaijan in accordance with intergovernmental agreements and requirements published in Azerbaijan's Aeronautical Information Publication.
