The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the terms of use of airspace of
Azerbaijan, a decision published on Friday on the official website of
the Cabinet says.
The regulations were approved by decision of the Cabinet on January 15, 2013 and came into force on the date of the signature.
These regulations were developed to ensure flights in Azerbaijani
airspace are in accordance with the requirements of Article 7.2 of the
Aviation law, the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation of
December 7, 1944, and amendments to it.
These regulations define the terms of use of Azerbaijani airspace by
piloted and unmanned aerial vehicles (belonging to Azerbaijan and other
countries) passing over the territory of the country or operating
flights from airports and airdromes of Azerbaijan in accordance with
intergovernmental agreements and requirements published in Azerbaijan's
Aeronautical Information Publication.
